As certified professional dog trainers, we realize the importance of education — and the harm that can come about when we leave our pets in the care of non-professionals. That harm can be grave.
As a member of the CCPDT (Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers) and an AKC Canine Good Citizen Award evaluator, Alex encourages all our staff to study these loving and humane ways and to practice them in every area of our work.
By training our staff personally and continuing our education on the evolving science developed over decades of study, we strive to be the best fit for your dog and your family. We do not believe in quantity, but in quality, when dealing with your dog.

Dog training is a continuing education field. We promote ongoing study to our staff and partners, and keep up with the science that has developed over decades of research.
Trained personally, not just hired
Every team member is trained by Alex himself before they ever handle your dog, so the standards and the methods are consistent across the whole academy.
Humane methods only
As a CCPDT member and an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, Alex encourages all staff to study loving and humane methods and to practice them in every area of our work.
Quality over quantity
We do not believe in volume when it comes to your dog. We take on the number of dogs we can genuinely serve well, and no more.

In 2019, Alex incorporated iDog Academy and shortly after received a US service mark. He moved into an air-conditioned space and grew the business through word of mouth, then brought in professionals to help build the iDog Academy dream.
